Short course on “Model building, inference and hypothesis testing” in Luxembourg, 15-19 Apr 2013

Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the short course “Model building, inference and hypothesis testing in conceptual hydrological modelling”.

The course will be held in Luxembourg on 15-19 Apr 2013 (the week following the EGU), at the research institute CRP – Gabriel Lippmann.

The course is designed for Masters and PhD students interested in the fundamentals of hydrological model building and uncertainty analysis.
The course combines theory and practical exercises, and includes a 1-day fieldtrip to three experimental catchments in Luxembourg, which will then be used in the modelling exercises.

This year we have several invited lecturers, including Martyn Clark (NCAR, Colorado), Dmitri Kavetski (University of Adelaide, Australia) and Benjamin Renard (IRSTEA, France).

Please visit the website: for further detail, or send an email directly to the course organizers (

We would appreciate if you could circulate this announcement to any other interested colleagues.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards,

Fabrizio Fenicia (On behalf of the course organizers)
